Now on my most recent visit me and my friend ordered a total of four sushi rolls; two spicy tun, one California, and one Philly. The sushi was just ok for me. We've been to Kyoto many times and we enjoy it every time. This was a tasty dish and a lot of food. Portions were large. Lovers of fish will delight in sushi options that include spicy salmon sashimi, fresh tuna, yellow tail sashimi, uni and quail egg nigiri while the restaurants main menu features dishes such as spicy crab salad, and gyoza dumplings. Way to go with that failure in service! It took about 20 minutes for the sushi, but I'm ok with that when they're making it fresh. Cucumber, avocado, and salmon skin with eel sauce. They offer miso soup but not the clear onion soup which Iprefer.More, We went there for happy hour plus foods. Knights Roll $9.95. Probably not the best idea when you have a fairly extensive menu and no one in your party has a clue as to what they want to order. My wife sent an email to the owner a few days later to express our dissatisfaction with the service. The Kyoto near ucf is great and ithought i would get the same service here but unfortunately not true.More, The rating is meant only for the service. Sweet sticky rice on outside, and ice cream filling on the inside, topped with syrup. Specialty drinks also take forever to arrive. While waiting for my take out order, I watched several dishes being prepared and thought that looks great! Takeout would probably be the better choice.More, Decided to finally give Kyoto Sushi and Grill a shot last night and I'm so glad I did. why go to a fancy oriental restaurant and not order at least one thing that's seafood. My favorite is Calamari steak which is extremely tender and tasty every single time. It makes or breaks the flavor of the rest of the roll. The service was very friendly and very professional. And I usually go see that if Im in a new place. The staff is fun and entertaining and always serve a great meal.
